Guys. I have a question

I've been here for about two years 

I'm not saying that speaking English is more comfy but I'm kinda used to it. Still not good and my Korean skill is way better than eng. 

Anyway, all of my fam members and friends are in Korea and what I'm kinda worried is that if I speak in English to them by accident, what would they think? Would they think it's kinda 허세?

Maybe you interpreted this wrong but what I meant was if you see Korean speak Korean, native speakers English... so just use one. Sorry even to me this is confusing

I mix both... like for example 이게 더 comfy 한거 같애 and everyone around me understands it l but you should stick to korean since your fam and friends are in korea

That's literally how I say with Korean ppl in here. Since they know it's just a natural thing, they understand me but I'm not sure about those living in Korea. Yeah I'm still much better at Korean! Thanks for the consideration though!

영어 울렁증으로 좀 이해한게 맞는지 모르겠지만 2년인데 영어잘하네 난 지금까지 뭘하고 살았는가.... 암튼 상관안할걸 뭐랄까 한국에서도 영어쓰면서 말하는사람이 많은걸 굳이 맞지 않은걸 영어를 써가면서 말하는게 허세고 아무리 영어를 섞어 써도 뭐랄까 진짜 그 단어가 생각이 안나서 쓰는애와 허세(?)로 보이기위해 쓰는거랑 달라서 걍 가족들은 애가 외국나가더니 영어를 잘 배웠구나 하고 좋아하지 않을까 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 내 주변은 그러던데 우리엄마도 내가 영어가 안되서 성적이 바닥이지만 가끔 외국인이 말걸거나 내가 말하다가 단어 생각안나서 영어 단어 나와도 그래도 너가 가서 영어를 배우긴 했구나 해주는데 ㅋㅋㅋ 만약 잘난척한다라든지 외국나갔다고 영어쓰냐 하면 그냥 웃고 넘어가 하나하나 따지기엔 피곤해지니까 ㅋㅋㅋ

I dont get why anyone would feel like that.. I mean you're living in a foreign country, and the fact that you speak the language without thinking.. I honestly think thats something that ur family should be kinda proud of since it means youve tried hard to get used to the language.

But it's a fact that there ARE some ppl make such gossip about using eng.. Like "oh I heard that she's been u.s. only for two years but why does she use English? Eww 잘난 척 쩜" 이런거,, I'm not worried about my family cuz as you thought they are proud of me getting used to american culture and the language. Jihdyiufhui whatever imma just let it go

글쎄 2년이면 보통 사람들이 아 이제야 완벽하게 영어를 깨우쳤다 할 시기라 갑자기 영어가 더 편하다고 섞어쓰면 나라도 응? 이럴거같음ㅋㅋ 적어도 5년정도는 넘게 살아야 실수로 영어가 튀어나오거나 그렇지 보통 2년이면 아 이제 영어를 알겠다 할 시기라 얘가 왜이러나 이렇게 생각할순 있을거같음.

SAME! Like yeah still my Korean is way better than English for me but still in like normal conversations, I can't really think of korean words straight away? so Im like uh..uh...what do you call it in Korean.... BTW when I talk to friends who don't speak English at all, Im really trying hard to stick with Korean cuz they won't feel comfy with English and Im sure speaking English in front of them never gonna affect positively, anyway but for friends who speak English, I use english with korean. So I dont really recommend you to .. if you see what i mean

gotcha gotchaaa :) thank you for the tip! Now I'm kind of trying to speak Korean to those who don't speak English but English to English speaker! and as you said i speak Konglish(you know what i mean haha) to those i feel comfy hanging out with
