오즈의 마법사에 나오는 사악한 서쪽마녀를 서쪽마녀입장에서 푼 소설이 위키드인데
그 소설을 가지고 만든 뮤지컬이 위키드
뮤지컬은 재미가 없지만 힘들 때 들으면 좋은 노래고
마크가 브로드웨이 얘기도 하길래 가져와봤어
주인공 엘파바는 겨울왕국으로 유명한 이디나 멘젤이 맡았지
엘파바는 엄마가 바람피워서 가진 아인데 그 때 초록색 술을 마셔서 얼굴이 초록색으로 나와
학교 다닐때부터 놀림을 심하게 받는데
인기 많은 글린다랑 어느 순간 친구가 되고
마녀가 되고 싶어하는데 자기가 마법에 소질 있는걸 알게되나?
그래서 마법사 밑에서 일하고 싶어해
그런데 그 마법사가 알고 보니 사기꾼이었고
뭐 그런 내용으로 기억함
나도 뮤지컬을 본 건 아니고 어디서 얘기를 들음
미드 Glee에서 크리스 콜퍼가 음악시간에 이 노래를 부르고 싶었는데
여자노래를 남자가 어떻게 부르냐고 거절당했던 일화가 있대
상당히 여러가지 버전이 있는데 이건 뮤지컬 버전
노래는 명곡이지만 뮤지컬은 재미 없다고 한다
