I am interested in your personal reactions to media. How you feel. As a boy or a girl. [minimum 200 words].
This is about your personal feelings and thoughts, so please don't copy something off the internet.
Find an image, video of a TV show, music video, or film. Make a copy, or write a link to the image or video (e.g youtube)
Look at the representation of men and/or women.
Describe what you see. How are men and/or women shown? Can you see any stereotypes? Do they look realistic? What is being communicated? Do they have power, independence, control, freedom etc?
What do you think children would learn by looking at this? What is the lesson about the behaviour of boys and girls, men and women?
What roles do the women have?
What do they look like?
How does it make you feel? Does it make you feel good or bad about your body image? Does it make you want to change your looks? Does it make you look at other people in a certain way?
